The sexuality of my duality....
Duality. D, U, A, L, I , T, Y. Duality.
Feel like your at a spelling be?
It's funny how a simple comment can become a deep thought! I was joking with Jennifer the other day about "The Sexuality of my Duality." What?!?!?
I was referring to the fact that I'm a "Good" guy, but still have just enough "Bad" in me to keep it interesting. She thought it was funny, phoned our poor friend Rachel in the middle of the night (sorry Rach.... Jen doesn't know how to convert to GMT!) and made fun of my comment. :) The concept of Duality just staid on my mind. Duality...Duality of all the ways to describe myself why choose Duality? Do I have multiple personality disorder? No...well...not officially anyway :)
I love to learn, reading incessantly on any and every topic I can find, and yet I was kicked out of school.
I have a dislike of people in general and yet surround myself with friends.
I love to be in the sun yet work at night.
I'm afraid of heights yet love to rock climb.
I've always hated to fly and yet went out and got a pilots license.
I feel most at home roughing it in the woods and yet have a job and life based totally on technology.
I'm frighted by the power that religions hold over people yet struggle to find its place in my life.
I can read sheet music but can't play an instrument.
Need I go on? There's far more (truly deep stuff) that I wouldn't even think of putting down on paper....err....screen....err....you know what I mean.
My life is so many things at opposite ends of the spectrum all at the same time. Not flip flopping back and forth like some bi-polar nut job but more like high and low notes, sharps and flats all coming together to make the symphony that is my life.

a pale dream of summer
I fell asleep under the clear sunny sky today. The black clothes I wore amplified the Sun as it flamed against me, tempered by the cool spring breeze. I dreamed of summer's vibrant colors, filling the world around me as the playing music filled my ears, guiding my slumbering journey. Eventually I opened my eyes to find the sun had numbed my vision while I slept...I marvled as the pale world around me slowly filled with color again as all those wonderful cones in my eyes regained their sensitivity. Beautiful.
Woodland relaxation
Here's another spot in the woods that I like to just relax at.Is there a better means of summer travel? I think not.

Chicago swampland...
I drove to the local forest preserve on the scooter today. My timing was a bit off though...the sun had already stopped shining, but it was still just nice to be out. i brought my most comfortable folding chair and just sat down by the water's edge. It's hard to believe how different everything looks when the river is flooded. This monster catfish keeps swimming right yp to the shore where the water can't be more than 2 inches deep and more than half of him is sticking out of the water! so neet to watch him swimming around in an area that's normally dry as a bone. I brought some music with to listen to, but the birds are doing such a good job, it's more relaxing to just listen to them.

Finally made it on the Bus...
It's raining so hard that the bus is leaking. I'm inside the bus and still have to where my poncho. I should have taken the metra like i normally do, but i just felt like something different. I just get bored of taking the same route over and over. Ask Jen; we've been going to my grandparents' house for almost 10 years, and she still doesn't know how to get there. I've never taken the same route twice...and they only live about 5 or 10 miles away! ;)
